Rubens Scarelli's T-shirt design

Brazilian illustrator and graphic designer

The idea of designgive.com is simple. Designers donate a T-shirt design and in this way promote themselves. People who buy the T-shirts select charity organization that they would like to support. Money goes for the good cause and everybody is happy.

And moreover, some of the T-shirts that you can (or could if they were in stock) buy are just awesome. And the names of some of the designers are really big: Si Scott, Brooke Nunez, Paul Macgregor.

I need to put some limits on number of pictures uploaded to my server (the daily traffic on Blastyle blog is really impressive nowadays). So that's why I selected only 5 T-shirts to be presented; take a look:

Si Scott - Leash Called Love
T-shirt created by Si Scott for Designgive

Scott Bartlett - Octobunny
Charity T-shirt design by Scott Bartlett

Maciej Rakowski - Industrial Re-pollution
Cause for design- T-shirt by Polish artist

Daniel van Beek - Fig. 53

Andhika Nugraha - God
Charity and design- buy T-shirt and donate for a good cause

Sisterface (Enrique Pastor and Juan Carlos Mesa) is a small studio which is based in Madrid/Shanghai. They work with various media; their projects include design and identity work for brands, music industry etc.

What I like in their style are the colourful, quite simple shapes which create the whole image. It is especially visible in two of their works created for the exhibition Simone de Beauvoir, which are presented below:

Sisterface- artwork created for exhibition

Branding brochure of Viacom presented below is created with a similar technique:
Branding and advertising design

And this is a bonus image presenting a T-shirt made by Sisterface studio. Quite controversial, for some it may look horrible. What do you think about it?

Sicksystems is a design studio from Moscow, Russia. The agency is formed by 3 talented guys: Aske, Kio and Kola (I love their nicknames :)) They started as graffiti artists some years ago and actually this influence is quite visible in most of their works. Now they are working with various media and in many design areas. They are very careful about the geometrical forms and shapes as well as the graffiti-like typography.

In the portfolio there are plenty of good works: advertising commercials and posters, clothing (T-shirts, accessories), snowboards, logotypes. Plenty of good stuff- below I present just a few examples of their works. Enjoy!

Believe me or not- I really do not read any Polish design magazines/blogs. It's not my fault that there are many good designers living in this beautiful country and they are present in the international design blogs and websites.

I don't remember exactly where I first encountered the works made by Kacper Spala. However, I remember that it was this beautiful black and white photo manipulation that you can see in the picture number 1. The amount of details and the perfection of this image is stunning and I couldn't take my eyes away from it.

kacperspala.com is a neat portfolio where you can find more works related to the photo manipulation, abstract art, posters and corporate id. Enjoy!

changethethought.com - Christopher Cox

Changethethought.com has been founded by Christopher Cox as the place for his own art works. Now apart from working as Christopher's portfolio it has transformed into a kind of a community with other editors involved.

What is more interesting for me are the Christopher's works. The ones presented above is just a small fraction of the art works that can be found on his changethethought.com. The style of them seems to be very brave and original- there is a lot of experimenting with colours, shapes and combining many concepts. The artworks are divided into many categories: print, illustration, web, type and personal works. Many of these categories are filled with works of the best quality. I find the whole portfolio very inspiring, it's a shame that I couldn't put more of the images here. Check it yourself.
